EASTON, Pa. - Sherryta Freeman, who was named Lafayette's new Director of Athletics on Dec. 22, was formally introduced during a press conference this afternoon in Pfenning Alumni Center.

Lafayette President Alison Byerly and Vice President for Campus Life Annette Diorio participated in the press conference. Diorio, who chaired the search committee, introduced Freeman to a capacity crowd in Pfenning and a live viewing audience watching the Lafayette Sports Network broadcast.

Freeman is set to take over the director of athletics role in February, replacing Bruce McCutcheon who announced his retirement Sept. 21 after 16 years at the helm of Lafayette Athletics.
